Lisa Warren's Pledge Page
In loving memory of little Jake Karas, and all of our loved ones who have suffered from blood cancers, I have just signed up to run a 1/2 marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s TEAM IN TRAINING in San Francisco, California, on October 23, 2005. Although we feel so helpless when one of these horrible diseases strikes an innocent loved one, there are many ways in which we can help. Raising money to help find a cure is just one way we can help, and this is my contribution. I will be training and running with my friend Nancy Dye. We will have a coach, a training regimen , and the support of a great group of other runners with this common goal.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s was established in 1949 to help find a cure for blood related cancers and to improve the quality of life for these patients. The society is the world’s largest organization solely concerned with finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and melanoma. The society provides funding for research and provides financial and emotional support for patients affected by these diseases. I am asking you to help me raise money and support this project by contributing as generously as you can to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s on my behalf. My financial goal just to be able to run is a minimum of $2,600, but I have a much higher goal! Over 75% of my personal goal will go to The Society for research, patient services, advocacy and education. NO DONATION IS TO GREAT OR SMALL because every bit helps. I ask that you help me in any way possible and keep all involved in The Society in your prayers. Let's help find a cure together! Thanks in advance for your support! Please contact me with any questions. I will look forward to hearing from you soon.
